In loving memory of Bobbie Jean Wellborn she was born on April 26, 1933 in Wilkes County to Bob and Myrtle Beshears and ending on April 26, 2024 at Wilkes Medical Center. Her life’s journey, which began and ended on the same day like a perfect circle, speaks of a life lived with purpose and fulfillment.
A cherished sister, grandmother, and mother, she shared 65 years of marriage with her beloved husband.
As a Sunday school teacher, she shared her wisdom and love for the Bible, touching countless lives. She cherished her church family and was a devoted member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church.
Known for her skilled quilting and sewing, she adorned our lives with beauty in every stitch. She loved spending time with her family and friends, going shopping and eating out together several times a week. Laughter and joy were always on the menu, creating beautiful memories that will last forever.
She cared for so many, and though we say goodbye, she leaves behind a legacy that encompasses the essence of family, friendship, creativity, and independence.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Wellborn and three sisters, Geraldine Lane, Mildred Smith, and Nell Patterson.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandy Anderson and husband Jerry Anderson of North Wilkesboro, a granddaughter, Lorrie Anderson and spouse Carrie Richards, and a great grandson, Thomas “Tom” Richards of Melrose, MA and a sister, Gail Hamby and husband Joe Hamby of North Wilkesboro.
