Mr. Joe Halbert Harper, age 80 of Roaring River passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Rachel Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Wiles officiating. The casket will be placed in the church at 1:30 PM. Burial with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 and the North Carolina National Guard Honor Guard will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the committal service.
Joe was born March 27,1944, in Iredell County to James Leon and Geraldine Flemming Harper. He was a member of Rachel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Christine Curry Harper, and a sister; Mary Galliher.
He is survived by his daughter; Sarah Harper Triplett and husband, Neal of Wilkesboro, two grandchildren; Leah Triplett and Norah Triplett of Wilkesboro, and a sister; Cleo Martin of Troutman, brother-in-law; Randy Galliher, sister-in-law; Tommy Curry, and several nieces and nephews.
