Mrs. Ella Louise Anderson Foster, age 98 of North Wilkesboro passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Wilkes Health & Rehab.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Blevins and Rev. Michael Brinegar officiating. The family will allow visitation from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
She was born on September 27, 1925, in Wilkes County to Joseph Malcom and Bertha Joines Anderson. She was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church. She retired from Rhoades Bookstore and Wilkes County Schools where she worked as a teacher’s aide/foster grandparent at CC Wright Elementary School for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jones Foster; three sisters, Joyce Tatum, Esteroia Bierschbach and Cora Lee Jenner; a son-in-law, David Church.
She is survived by one son, Jerry Thomas Foster and wife Edna of North Wilkesboro; three daughters, Cynthia Joyce Clark and husband Jerry of Ronda, Paulette Church of Hickory and Darlene Roberts and husband David of Millers Creek; eleven grandchildren, Vickie Setzer (Doug) of Wilkesboro, Leslie Nichols (Scott Smith) of Clemmons, Jerry Thomas Clark (Sandra) of Millers Creek, Anthony Clark of Ronda, Amanda Golds (Joshua) of Millers Creek, Carrie Gregory (John) of Hamptonville, Tawny Homesley (Nick) of Hickory, Rachael Vosburgh (Jay) of Wichita, KS, Chris Roberts (Timberli) of Millers Creek, Joshua Roberts of Boone, and Kehly Roberts (Kirstin) of Millers Creek; several loving great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and two loving God children, Elizabeth Brinegar Parks and Michael Brinegar.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to a mission of the Donor’s choice.
